Biography

Kimberly Dawnly is the artist name of Kimberly Salib, a contemporary painter, art dealer, and founder of Art Gotham, a New York City gallery with locations in SoHo and on Saint Mark’s Place in the East Village. Her richly layered oil paintings explore color, movement, memory, and emotion through expressive gestures and textural surfaces.

Born in Dallas, Texas, Kimberly spent most of her childhood there before relocating to the Northeast. She attended Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service, where she studied International Economics. After graduating, she moved to New York City and began her career in investment banking and corporate finance before turning her lifelong passion for art into a full-time profession.

Kimberly’s artistic perspective has been shaped by her extensive travels and her interest in culture, politics, and sociology. Having visited more than 40 countries, she has studied Impressionism in Paris, tribal art in Kenya, and Buddhist art in Bangkok.

She currently lives in Greenwich, Connecticut, where she maintains her studio. A solo exhibition of her Jazz Rose Series is currently on view in SoHo, New York City, and her artwork will be exhibited at the Grand Palais in Paris in February 2027. Her work is exhibited and sold through Art Gotham and has been presented at exhibitions and art fairs in New York and internationally.
